That's all there is. (:
most werent spared. except for the mosques that mostly remained standing. some of those people at the mosques survived.
I recall the phenomenon that took place right before the eyes of a survivor who told his story in the documentary. It was totally, um, MIRACULOUS?! He stared at the sea rooted to the spot at the mosque which was TWENTY METRES (ONLY) from the coastline, mind, and saw it approaching, but spectacularly the wave split into two and reseded before it reached the mosque although it continued to destroy all around it. the water which did reach the mosque was only knee-length. The documentary showed the mosque standing, surrounded by flat, remains. wowwee.
oh yeah.and there was that holy man's (he helped build the mosque too..ooo..) house which also stood very near the coastal line with all the other houses that remain standing, almost totally undestroyed by the wraths of the tidal waves. it was just like the other houses, made only out of wood, yet it survived. um, i was totally awed by the idea. it looked really vulnerable to a gigantic mountainous tsunami. all woody-rickety. BUT. it was still i mean, 80% there at least. the other houses were rubble!! o.O
oh well, if you didnt see it you should have, man. it really awed me. the place was really beautiful, but there were wrecks of houses everywhere, speechless, serene, after being hit by the tsunami. and i saw how many enchanting mosques stood beautifully there, amidst the wrecks. (nicer than those in singapore, most of em. haiyo. -.-'')
so many lives were whisped away in a matter of seconds. unexpected.
fated? yeah.
we could die TOMORROW! or the next day or the nextnext day.
but let's say we lived forever. let's plan ahead.
but we would die. who lives forever?? so plan to go to heaven.
plan to be good while living.
it's easy for me to say. but am i doing enough yet? :\
